A shrimp and avocado appetizer pairs well with main dishes made with chicken, beef, or other seas food. I love making this salad ahead of time and eating it for lunch or tossing it in pasta as well.

How to make shrimp and avocado salad?

I love this shrimp and avocado appetizer so much because it is made with fresh and healthy ingredients. It is gluten and dairy-free (well, if you skip the feta garnish), an energy booster, and a source of good vitamins.

  • Shrimp – I use small or medium size frozen cooked shrimp. Simply thaw and toss in.
  • Avocado
  • Cherry Tomato
  • Fresh herbs – I used Thai basil and mint.
  • Garlic
  • Lemon Juice
  • Olive Oil – this is the time when you bust out the good stuff.
  • Greek Seasoning – I love a good greek seasoning because it always has a good mix of flavorful Mediterranean spices.
  • Sea Salt & Black Pepper
  • Lime Citrus Dressing

Not only this shrimp and avocado salad recipe is so healthy and full of flavor but it is super easy to make. I always toss my salads in a large mixing bowl so there is enough space for the dressing to drain. Otherwise, your salad will swim in the dressing.

You can plate it with grilled slices of bread or whole lettuce leaves. I made little boats out of the avocado and stuffed the rest of the salad there. Top with feta cheese and drizzle with the lime mango dressing. So easy!

How to store this shrimp and avocado appetizer?

You can make this salad ahead of time and store it in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. The avocado might not last that long so enjoy it quickly.

If storing before serving make sure the dressings are stored on the side. If storing leftovers make sure that the salad is not swimming in too much dressing.
